About The Nat20 Trust
Play is how we learn to belong.
The Nat20 Trust was born in Aotearoa to make imaginative play accessible to every tamaiti. We exist to reduce loneliness, build confidence, and spark creativity through games that invite everyone to the table.
Our mission
To connect communities through the power of play by sharing tabletop games, storytelling experiences, and inclusive spaces where tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau feel seen.

Why tabletop play?
Tabletop and role-playing games invite storytelling, collaboration, and laughter. They foster social skills, strategic thinking, and empathy while giving young people a break from screens.
Social connection
Players learn to listen, take turns, and celebrate each other’s successes, reducing loneliness and isolation.
Creativity & resilience
Collaborative storytelling encourages tamariki to think divergently, practice problem-solving, and bounce back from setbacks.
Off-device time
Board games and role-playing sessions provide gentle, screen-free pauses where friendships can deepen.

Inclusive by design
The Nat20 Trust prioritises neurodivergent-friendly play spaces. We adapt games, provide sensory-friendly materials, and coach facilitators on gentle pacing so every participant can join in confidently.
We also collaborate with community partners to ensure lower-income schools receive the resources, transport support, and ongoing mentoring they need.
